Subtitled "A Deeply Mystical Trip into the oceans of inner space", aficionados will no doubt enjoy the Beatles-inspired wordplay ;)

Absolutely requires full view and it's a big file (to preserve maximum detail), so be patient!

Thanks for the comment and :+fav: :D - I used a method first described by an artist known as Mr. P, indeed it may even be a tweak of one of his own parameter files, whereby the spherical variation is cranked up over 1. It gives a very distinct look to the flame...

Alright, truth be known, I don't like blue. I never have.... but, this image on full scale totally sucked me in! Your intention, I'm sure... for the viewer. The detail and the softness of the outer 'layers' are like that of a jellyfish and they just begged to be touched! The look of the texture of this is truly something to behold. My goodness!

As always, your perceptiveness is both much appreciated and unerringly accurate - I very much like the 'jellyfish' comparison :D Of course, I should have known you wouldn't like blue as a colour, as I'm sure your natural chromatic milieu is (black and) red and pink... and blue sits at the other end of the visible spectrum. Though I wonder how you react to that hybrid, purple?

I haven't even had my first sip of coffee and I'm already laughing. Yes... I like purple, very much ;)

Funny thing- when I want to portray something uncomfortable or very very dramatic, I use a deep, yet bright blue lighting on my pieces. Here you go and use it and make it all dreamy and wooosy. Nice job.

I noticed your use of blue wash on the claustrophobic 'Jill' - very effective indeed :D
