i'm always in awe of people who can such a boring and cliched and standard subject, and actually make it interesting to look at again. it's sort of what i try to do. it can be really hard to do.

Very pretty! I like the tiny border that you put around it, or else my eyes are playing tricks on me. I also like the way you focused on the flowers further in the back ground rather than the ones in the foreground.

No tricks, that IS a border, courtesy of PhotoFiltre. Glad you like the focus - that was certainly the aim here, to isolate the main head by focal contrast with both nearer and farther parts.
