I vacillate between seeing this as a derelict docklands warehouse structure and a tropical jungle. But the light is most certainly of the early portion of the day: I rather fancy a term used by John Foxx in the song 'Touch and go' (from waaay back in the late '70s) - "shatter light".
I don't know much about fractals, but I like what I see here. I like the dark colors, of course, and the depth of the piece. Almost feel as if I could fall into it.
That's one of the things I like about some fractals, especially when large: it's like you just float above them, waiting to be drawn by their inevitable gravity...
Awesome - the colors are really good. I like how you used black in the image to create gaps and other patterns instead of flooding the image with a lot of fractals.
Thnaks! The black is the background 'colour' and shows pure as a natural effect of one of the formulae (known as the 'fan' variation) - it's undoubtedly my current favourite
